Carly takes over her father's flight service in the valley and time begins to heal her wounds. But the past will not let go of her. Her old case comes back to haunt her and she is forced to deal with what almost killed her. But the question remains: why are people connected to her old case dying in bizarre yet seemingly innocent ways?

The Manderson Murders

Carly Turner was first on the scene of a gruesome murder. An entire family had been killed. And the family members were close friends of hers. As Carly rocked back and forth with the dead daughter on her lap, she whispered to the child: I will not rest until I find the people who killed you and your family.

Years later, when Carly is no longer a police officer, she sees a wanted poster. The person who killed that family years ago had escaped from Pelican Bay State Prison. But because of Carly's past connection to the murders, she is warned by the FBI and local authorities not to get involved in the search for the escaped prisoner. Ignoring that warning, Carly enlists the help of a friend. Together, they search for an escaped killer and are stunned by what they find.
